Strictly Hard Bean quality coffee - a unique, classy aroma! A fine, fresh acidity and a restrained body complete this stimulating coffee. Pure origin, terroir coffee made from very hard beans. This single origin coffee comes from the Pacific highlands of Costa Rica. Usually you mix coffee beans from different regions - this is called a blend. A single origin coffee, on the other hand, is a pure origin coffee that (like wines) has a typical terroir taste. This Tarrazu from Costa Rica is such a terroir coffee that, thanks to its high quality, can stand on its own. Its addition SHB Strictly Hard Bean (dt. Very hard bean) names the quality category, which depends on the height of cultivation: 1,600 m above sea level. NN and higher = SHB. The higher the coffee plants grow, the slower the coffee cherries thrive and the harder the beans are. And that is reflected in the unique taste.

Our principles

  • We only order selected state and plantation coffees of the best quality, at a reasonable price in the country of cultivation, whenever possible from controlled organic cultivation.
  • We roast for at least 15 minutes, up to a maximum of 195 ° C in the drum roast, cooling only with air (no water cooling). We grant insight into our craft production at any time.
  • With us, single-variety is also 100% single-variety.
  • We mark our coffee more clearly than German law requires.
  • As part of inclusion, we enable people with disabilities to participate in life and work in our normal everyday life.
