A medium to strong body and a full and round cup profile characterize this coffee; its acidity is pleasant and very fine. Nuances of citrus fruits complement the nutty-spicy aromas of one of the best coffees in Mexico. SHG = Strictly High Ground Mainly small farmers in the state of Chiapas from the regions of Jaltenango and Villa Corzo grow this coffee. Almost exclusively bourbon and tipica arabica are grown. The coffee is picked, depulped, washed and sun-dried by hand. This coffee grows at a height of around 1,100 meters. Coffee from volcanic soils not far from the Mayan ruins This coffee is named after the Topacio plantation, which is located in the extreme southeast of Mexico on the border with Guatemala. Here, in the Soconusco region in the state of Chiapas, the climate is humid and subtropical and the volcanic soils are very rich in minerals. These ideal conditions enable the highest quality coffee in the country to be grown. The local rocky and unique landscape is also home to the famous Mayan ruins of Palenque, Yaxchilán and Bonampak. Even today, the majority of the population lives deeply rooted in the Indian culture in peaceful harmony with the environment.

  • We mark our coffee more clearly than German law requires.
