South of the capital of Costa Rica, San José, rise the majestic mountains of Tarrazú, a famous coffee-growing area, facing the Pacific coast. This beautiful area is also affectionately referred to as the place of activity of the saints, as the mild climate means that good harvests of the excellent "Strictly Hard Bean" Arabica coffee can be achieved. The coffee grows at an altitude of 1,200 to 2,000 m above sea level. on the slopes of various volcanoes.
The mineral-rich volcanic soil, the altitude and the perfect climate with sun, temperature and precipitation are the ideal conditions for the production of this extraordinary coffee. The harvest season lasts from December to February. After picking, the red cherries are washed and then dried in large drum drying machines to a moisture level of 12%.
Our «Costa Rica Tarrazú» coffee is characterized by the flavors of caramel, nutmeg and hazelnut. In combination with its dynamic acidity and nuances of red berries, this variety ensures a strong taste with a smooth finish.
