The Yellow Bourbon is a very special Arabica variety. Our coffee comes from the area south of the border with the state of Minas Gerais in the state of São Paulo and is located at an altitude between 1,100 and 1,500 m above sea level. Since the average annual temperature is 19 ° C, the conditions are ideal for growing coffee.
As the name suggests, the ripe yellow bourbon coffee cherries are not red but bright yellow and are picked by hand. On the same day, they are immediately washed on site and sorted according to size. In the further course they have to be dried in the sun so that they can then be pulped (peeled) in the water channel. The coffee beans are then dried in a special dryer, whereby their moisture content is reduced to 11%. The finished green green coffee is then ready for export.
The Brazil Yellow Bourbon is characterized by its velvety soft character. The sweet finish is reminiscent of dark chocolate and brown sugar. This coffee is rounded off by nuances of roasted nuts and vanilla.
