At Fortezza, we believe that coffee roasting is above all one thing, an art. In no other country does this art shape the way of life as intensely as in Italy. It must have been this attitude towards life that captivated our company founder Rainer Langguth so much that, when he was 22 at the time, he developed the vision of producing the best espresso outside of Italy.

But what does it actually take to make the best espresso? And doesn't every coffee roaster say that? To be honest, there is no secret magic formula for this. For us, it means sourcing only the best green coffee, where everyone involved in the value chain is treated fairly. A traditional long-term roast that is perfectly matched to the respective bean. The best possible service and advice to our customers and the willingness to keep working and getting a little better every day.
