Xalala is a Swiss Specialty coffee Roasting company. We have our roasting lab in Saint-Pierre-de-Clages, in the beautiful Canton du Valais. We are stoked to roast our coffee in the middle of the Swiss Alps, surrounded by exquisite vineyards.
Our specialty grade coffee beans are carefully selected and freshly roasted. Our handcrafted roasting is done using a Genio Roaster 6, a very innovative, well-designed and reliable roaster created by a passionate engineer. Our roaster allows us to create a clean and precise roasting environment, to perfectly roast our coffee beans for optimal taste.

We take care to select the best beans by ensuring that they come from sustainable agriculture and are environmentally and socially responsible.
We favor short circuits and seek to strengthen links and collaboration with the coffee growers at the heart of our product. Our coffee supply is seasonal and adapts to harvests, to always guarantee the best freshness to our beans.
The quality of our coffee beans is achieved through constant care of the coffee trees and fruits and their environment by coffee farmers. Those farmers are guaranteed much higher prices than the market ones.
Drinking specialty coffee not only brings real pleasure to the mouth, but also helps bring real prospects to coffee growers.
Xalala works closely with coffee producers in the beautiful state of Oaxaca, Mexico. There, we seek to secure long-term prospects for the diverse communities growing coffee. In the future, we want to further develop this direct relationship with the coffee community of Oaxaca.
Indeed, coffee growers in Oaxaca are committed to growing the best grains in agroforestry, in a healthy and chemical-free environment, creating outstanding coffees while preserving resources for future generations. Their coffee trees are carefully planted in harmony with existing ecosystems, thus preserving biodiversity, mitigating soil erosion and sequestering carbon.
About Xalala and its founder
My name is Michaël Würzner and I discovered the world of specialty coffee in 2013, during a trip to the state of Oaxaca in Mexico. I could sip an exceptional coffee in a coffee shop that was roasting onsite coffees from growers of the region. Back then, I was working as a diplomat for the Confederation. As a lover of good products (some of my family were wine growers in Valais), I couldn't forget this experience. Coffee quickly became my passion. To the point of deciding to leave my career in diplomacy to start my coffee roasting business and create Xalala.
My goal is to offer the best coffees and share wonderful coffee moments with my customers. It is to obtain the best quality and guarantee social and environmental sustainability that I seek to have close contact with coffee growers, find out where the coffee comes from, and under what conditions they were produced.
I decided to settle in the heart of Valais, in the middle of the vineyards, in a house which also brings together other lovers of the terroir (winegrowers and producers working in organic and / or biodynamic agriculture), because it is a land of passion that perfectly match Xalala.
We are constantly in a world made of stress, where we forget the time to appreciate to fully live and value the nature, the landscapes, the people around us as well as this wonderful liquid that is coffee.
