Ferrari Caffe
The first roastery was located on the now famous Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich until 1894. The then owner Jean Rau relocated the coffee roasting and spice mills to Dietikon in 1895. In 1924 he sold it to Mr. Paul Suter, who had just come from Sumatra to Switzerland and was mainly active in the spice trade, and to Mr. Luigi Ferrari, who had experience in roasting and coffee making from Ticino. Renato Ferrari, born in 1929, son of Luigi Ferrari and “Göttibueb” from Mr. Paul Suter, took over the roasting business and is still running it today. His nephew Mike Schärer has been at his side since 2001 and will hopefully continue the company's history for a long time to come.
