We taste more than 40 coffees every single month, but only very few coffees reach through the eye of the needle to our roastery. All coffees are selected for their unique and exciting characteristics, and you can be sure that our selection always reflects the huge difference in taste that exists in the world of coffee. The brewing equipment we sell in our webshop has been carefully selected, and here you will find only products of the highest quality. You do this because we know you get the best coffee experience when our specialty coffees are brewed on world-class equipment

The farm is located in La Providencia which is located in the Dipilto-Jalapa mountains in the northeastern part of Nueva Segovia. The farm is located at an altitude of 1100 - 1300 meters in a microclimate with cloud-covered forest with an average temperature of about 18 degrees.
The soil is sandy clay soil, which is optimal for the cultivation of coffee. The coffee plants grow in the shade of guaba trees and several other local naturally occurring trees.
The farm consists of 367 hectares, of which "only" 194 hectares are planted with coffee plants. It shows a little about the extent of shade plants.
I am a big fan of “shadegrown” coffee, as this typically gives the plants really good and natural opportunities to develop the coffee berries slowly and thus achieve super high quality. At the same time, Shadegrown is also an important tool for ensuring a high degree of biodiversity and good conditions for the natural wildlife to thrive in the area. Often we also see that shadegrown coffee needs smaller amounts of mineral supply to the soil, as the soil is not depleted in the same way as you or can see in farmland.

CleverCoffee
Geekiness becomes a business
CleverCoffee started as a coffee blog in 2014, developed into a webshop with freshly roasted specialty coffee - and from there grew the idea of making world-class sustainable coffee accessible to everyone. We are BIG coffee nerds, so you do not have to be. That said, we think nerds are cool
Today, the store looks somewhat different than it did when Lars started his hobby business, but the goal is the same: to make the coffee shop transparent. We do this by acting responsibly and long-term with the coffee farmer, and delivering a single solution with equipment, advice and coffee to large coffee-consuming customers such as hotels, cafés and coffee bars around the world.
We pay extra for the best quality at all levels - and we deliver both a product and a service that is far beyond the usual in the industry. Thus, we go from being a random supplier to a strong, long-term partner for our customers.
