Directly traded from Peruvian smallholder farmers since 2003! Can you believe it?
This speciality coffee grows high up in the Andean mountains, where small coffee farmers cultivate it organically. Gran Palomar is the result of our direct and honest co-operation with small coffee farmers from Peru, which started since 2002. The coffee cherries are hand-picked from the coffee bushes, after which they are carefully washed and sun-dried. Afterwards, the coffee is hand-roasted with passion at our small roastery, in a way that brings forth its nutty and chocolate-like flavour notes plentifully.

We are a small and multi-cultural team of coffee lovers who work with passion to extract the best expressions of coffee. We love diversity and we found on coffee, with its different origins and flavour profiles, the perfect raw material to find a way to communicate, to be creative, to promote diversity and to impact people’s life.
Our coffee adventure started in 2001 on the coffee lands of the Peruvian Amazon forest. A delicious cup of an organic coffee was the start of a conversation with a small group of smallholder farmers and it was there when we understood the difficulties of small coffee farmers and the benefits or organic cultivation. Should a very good coffee serve to help people? We asked ourselves this question and, despite the low perception of speciality coffees at that time, we started to get involved in the exciting world of coffe.
So many years has passed after our first cup of coffee with the coffee producers but our passion and motivation to promote great coffees and serve people are still intact. We will continue delighting our customers, promoting organic coffees as much as quality is not compromised and making a difference in everything we do.
